Monica B. DeRyder, ASA, EA
Monica joined I.E. Shaffer & Co. in 2019 and manages the PBGC funded plans for the firm. She is responsible for working with the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) in providing administrative services for these insolvent pension plans.
Prior to joining I.E. Shaffer & Co., Monica was employed by DeRyder Plans, Inc., where she worked primarily with multi-employer plans as an Enrolled Actuary.
Monica holds a Bachelor’s degree from Moravian College and has over 30 years of actuarial experience with an emphasis on Taft-Hartley plans. She is an Associate in the Society of Actuaries, a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP), and an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA.
In her personal time, Monica enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and vacationing at the beach.
